About Urban Islamic Relief
Urban Islamic Relief was established in the year 2005 to provide poverty relief across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa by offering support and care.
Urban Islamic Relief History
Motivated by our Islamic beliefs and directed by our principles, we imagine a compassionate world where communities are strengthened, social responsibilities are met, and individuals unite in response to the pain of others. Consistent with Islamic principles regarding the significance of each human life, we offer this support to those who require it most, without consideration of gender, faith, or ethnicity. We strive to change and preserve lives of individuals in distress in Dubai, USA, and globally. Although we started with disaster and emergency aid—helping those who have experienced loss due to droughts, earthquakes, floods, or conflict. UIR has consistently intended to alleviate poverty and suffering over the long term in addition to providing immediate support. Alongside disaster relief, we engage in sustainable development efforts to deliver winter assistance, water, food, housing, healthcare, and long-term education. We strive to aid orphans and children, assist individuals in finding jobs, create livelihoods to sustain their families, and shield at-risk communities from future calamities, averting loss of life and property.
UIR Forward
UIR also pushes for the creation of a fairer and more equitable society. Motivated by our beliefs, we advocate for various causes such as the escalating effects of climate change, violence based on gender, and global wars and conflicts. In our gaze toward the future, we constantly seek to learn, grow and enhance our efforts to assist those in greatest need. Our goal is to accomplish this while adhering to our core values derived from our Islamic beliefs: compassion, justice, stewardship, sincerity, and excellence.
To transform muslim lives for the better.
Our mission is to eliminate poverty.
